Dia De Los Muertos is an illustrated typeface celebrating the premise of Dia de Los Muertos. Each letter was hand-drawn based on the typeface Cooper Black and then digitally rendered/colored. I wanted each letter to have a separate personality, each one is a different skull shape that is designed with the shape of the letters in mind. Although, I still wanted to keep them consistent overall with the repetitive colors and ornate decorations found throughout.
