Illusionary State Of Mind, is a series of poster-sized illustrations inspired by a professional artist of our choice. My artist of choice was Takashi Murakami, a well-known Japan based pop artist. What I wanted to explore with Murakami’s works was his use of textures and colors throughout. I wanted to try replicating his attempts with digital media. I sketched the original illustrations on paper before digitally replicating them. Murakami tends to start his process on paper and then digitally replicates an image before his team starts screen printing.
